Send email from SharePoint

I have 2 questions.

Question1
Referring to https://powerusers.microsoft.com/t5/Using-Flows/Send-email-to-multiple-users-from-Sharepoint/m-p/437...

I would like to "Send email with options" to each (apply to each) external email and then store each respond in a SP list. 20+ external emails are stored in single line in SP. The above link used "append array" but I need it to loop or to "apply to each" email. How do I achieve this?

Question 2
I am trying to create a document distribution system where I get "acknowledgment" from each user when they receive/read a new document. These are external user so Approval flows don't work. Also, "Request Read Receipt" also not supported in Flow yet.

Now I'm trying "Send email with options". Dose anyone have a better idea/solution?

@Meeh  I don't know exactly if this is what you need but there is an conector that allows you to send an email with options.

@Meeh yes what you want to achieve can be done. In this example we've got several email addresses all in the same single line of text column called SendTo in a SharePoint list. There is also a column called response to hold the responses. We're triggering the email by a button on the list item:

Because we've used the button, the trigger in the flow is a SharePoint For a selected item. Then initialize 2 string variables, one which will hold each email address and one for the responses.

Next, get the item from the list and add a Compose control and select the SendTo column from the dynamic content.

Then add another Compose control to split the email addresses using the expression split(outputs('Compose_SendTo'), ';')

Next, add an apply to each, and for the input select the output of the Compose split you added in the previous step.

Inside the apply to each add another Compose control and select Current item from the dynamic content.

 On the apply to each settings you will probably need to add the concurrency control:

Add an Append to String Variable and for the value select the output of the Compose current item above.

Next, add the Send an email with options. for the To field select the variable that's holding the email address that you created in the previous step.

Still inside the apply to each an an Append to string variable and select the variable you initialized for this at the top of the flow. In the value box select the variable holding the email address and I've then added an = sign followed by the SelectedOption from the dynamic content.

Then clear the email array with a Set variable and select an expression of null.

Then outside the apply to each at the bottom of the flow add a SharePoint Update item and in the column which you've created in your list to hold the responses select the variable.

When you run the flow each recipient will receive the email:

 Once they have all responded the SharePoint list will be updated:

Thank you so much!! But what if I put Create Item in another list and Update Item (in that list) in the Apply to Each, I can capture each respond individually right?

That won't work because each response would overwrite the previous one. You'd need a separate column for each person you sent the email to in order to capture their response. And really you'd also need a separate column for each email address as well rather than putting them all in the same column. It's a totally different flow.

Sorry I wasn't very clear. Document is on library. I also have a list contain 20+ items for 20+ external members... so each one has its own external email.

So, I was thinking... from your solution, once email is sent to the user, create an item in a different list (let's call it Control list) with that user's email in a column... when they click "READ" capture it and Update the item with user's email to READ.... I will try this tomorrow together with your suggestions. Thank you so much!
