Send email on modified item in multiple fields in one flow

Hi all,

I have a training attendance Power App connected to a SharePoint list.

I have successfully created a flow which will send an email when a delegate is marked as a 'Leaver' on day 1.  I would like this to work if a delegate is marked as a 'leaver' on any of the days within my SharePoint list.

Is it possible to create a flow so when the status changes to 'Leaver' on any of the days within my SP List, it sends an email or do I need to create a flow for each day?  I have tried a few different way but cannot seem to get it to work.

Flow attached for reference.

Thanks in advance for your help and support.

Chris.

@Anonymous first, make sure you have turned on versioning for the list in List Settings as we will compare the current version of the "leaver" column with the previous version. Use the "When an item or a file is modified" trigger and follow that with the "Get changes for an item or a file (properties only)" action and in the since field add the expression:

sub(int(triggerOutputs()?['body/{VersionNumber}']),1)

Then add a condition and select Has Column Changed: YourLeaverColumn is equal to true.

In the green if yes channel add your email action.

A similar example (without the email) is below:

Hi @Anonymous,

Could you show me your SharePoint list.

Hi @RobElliott ,

Thank you for your response and process.

With regards to the 'Has Column Changed' I have x10 of these to monitor.  How do I do this across x10 different columns?

I perhaps should have been clearer in my original post.  To confirm, I have x10 choice columns in my SharePoint List labelled as Day 1, Day 2, Day 3, Day etc. upto Day 10.  With the following choices: Present, Late, Absent and Leaver.

What I am trying to achieve, is when any of the days is changed to Leaver it sends an email for that day.

Hope this makes sense and you can advise.

Thanks,

Chris.

Hi @Anonymous,

I have created sample for you.

You can add multiple or condition in your Condition Action For all of the day column of SharePoint list.

Hi @Amit_Sharma ,

I have previously tried this but it shows an error?

Unable to process template language expressions for action 'Condition' at line '0' and column '0': 'The template language function 'contains' expects its first argument 'collection' to be a dictionary (object), an array or a string. The provided value is of type 'Null'.'.

Thanks,

Chris

Hello @Anonymous,

Please use an equal to in Condition action instead of contains After this I guess you are good to go.

Hi @Amit_Sharma ,

That still does not work?

See attached.

Thanks,

Chris.

Hi @Anonymous,

Please Confirm You have to select Day1-status value from dynamic value instead of only Day1-status.

- select day1 value.

Instead of only day1

Hi @Anonymous,

Is Your Problem Solved ?

Hi @Amit_Sharma ,

No.  Still not resolved.

When changing the status to 'Leaver' on some I get two or even x3 emails (my action in the flow) and others I do not get any action?  I wounder if this is because its cycling through all 10 fields one after the other over and over?

I might have to create x10 flows to enable me to get what I need?

Thanks,

Chris.

Hi @Anonymous,

You don't have to create x10 flows to enable this, In My Side It's Work Perfectly Could You show me what error you are getting after doing all of modification as show above.
