Send email reminder based on date column in Sharepoint

I have the following columns in my SharePoint list that are used in this scheduled flow:

Email

Reminder date (calculated)

I am trying to send an email to the user in the email column once the reminder date has hit. This is how I have built the flow based on other responses on this site. (https://powerusers.microsoft.com/t5/Building-Flows/Trigger-Flow-to-Send-Email-Based-on-Date/td-p/259...)

I am not filtering the data in the get items action at this time. My flow technically works when you run a test (makes it all the way through), however the email does not ever send. I am wondering if this is because of the condition.

I also changed the recurrence interval to 1 min to test against that, but never got the email.

Hello @sbrahm08 ,

try to add a 'Compose' action before the 'Condition' and store the 'Reminder date' and the utcNow('yyyy-MM-dd') in that 'Compose' action. Then you'll see in the flow history what value the 'Reminder date' has and if it's really equal to utcNow('yyyy-MM-dd').

This is what I put in the Compose action

This was the result. It looks to be a match, yet still no email.

It’s not a match, the Reminder date contains time, the other date is just a date. Use the expression formatDateTime(Reminder date, ’yyyy-MM-dd’) to remove the time also from the Reminder date.
