Send email with attaching file from SharePoint library document after form submittal

Hi All,

Apologies in advance, this may be a dumb question but I am new to Flow. I have been trying to create a flow based off of a Forms response. After a response is submitted, the flow runs to populate a sharepoint list and send a confirmation email based off of the response details. I would like to attach a static form to the confirmation email but have been having trouble making the content I want to show up in the "attachments" section of "send email". The document can be located in either a sharepoint document library or a sharepoint list. Attached is a screenshot of my flow - I don't think "Get file content using path" is correct but I was trying out different options. Would anyone have a suggestion on how I could achieve what I want to do? Thanks!

Re: Send email with attaching file from SharePoint library document after form submittal

Hi @jeffrejc3214,

I am afraid I don't know what you mean by "a static form".

What attachment do you want to add to the email? Where is the file obtained?

If you are adding a specified file, you could directly use "Get file content using path" and "Get file metadata using path" to achieve your needs.

File Path field selects the path to the specified file.

Please take a try.

Re: Send email with attaching file from SharePoint library document after form submittal

Hi, I have a similar issue. I have a sharepoint list with some attachment during creation. I would like to  sent a email to its manager with the attachments in the email. I wonder is there a need to store the attachments to a document library first and then retrieve them again to create an email with these attachment(s). Can advice. Any tips on how to create email with these attachments is much appreciated. thanks!

Regards

Wai
