Sending an e-mail based on a date stored in Sharepoint list item with all attachments for that item attached to the e-mail

Hello,

I am trying to build a flow which triggers once per day (recurrence), looks at the date within a SharePoint list item and sends an e-mail if it is 7 days before the date in the SharePoint list item is. If it does send the e-mail, I need it to attach all attachments for the SharePoint item to the e-mail. I have managed to build a flow which triggers and sends an e-mail and a separate flow which sends an e-mail with the attachments but I can't bring the two together.

Any assistance with this would be greatly appreciated.

Kind regards,

GES

Hello @GES ,

I think it'll be easier to start from scratch than to just replace the trigger in a flow as it'll break all references to the trigger. Other than that the flow will be very similar: you'll use the recurrent trigger, then 'Get items' to list the relevant items, and then inside an 'Apply to each' (where you process the returned items) you'll do everything you currently do in the flow.

  • Recurrence
  • Intialize variable
  • Get items
  • Apply to each
    • Compose
    • Delay
    • Get attachments
    • Apply to each 2
      • Get attachment content
      • ...
    • Condition
      • Send an email

Hello @GES ,

it would be helpful if you shared a screenshot of the flow where you tried to put them both together and describe in which part you're having problems.

Hi @tom_riha ,

Appreciate your swift response. Below I will post my current flow which sends the e-mail. Essentially I want to change this to a recurrence trigger from a when a item or a file is modified trigger. Hopefully you can help?

All the steps in this flow are required - the compose and variables deal with the formatting of the commentary being pulled out of the Sharepoint and put into the e-mail listed at the bottom of the flow.

I've tried just changing the trigger but to no avail. I'm open to any options to get it working.

All the best,

GES
