Set field equivalant in Flow

Hi everyone,

I have a SharePoint custom list, and a choice field called "Status".  SharePoint doesn't love choice fields in Lookups. What I usually do for my status field, is create a single line of text called "Status Lookup". In SharePoint Designer, I would create a simple workflow that uses the "set" command to set the Status lookup field to equal the value of the status field for a current item.

I was reading other posts in here, and @ScottShearer suggested using the "Update Item" step.  I think I'm on the right track, but I don't see anywhere to select my Status choice field.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi @smorley,

Could you share a screenshot of your Flow configuration?

I have no way to open the link of the post you mentioned, I don't know what the details are.

Please provide more details about your requirements, we would provide proper workaround for you.

Best Regards,

Barry

Re: Set field equivalant in Flow

Hi @v-bacao-msft,

My Flow doesn't have anything in it other than "When item is created".

My SharePoint designer workflow, on the other hand, looks like this:

Set Status Lookup to Current Item: Status
