SharePoint CheckoutUserId value mapped to user's name or email?

how do I find the user's name or email once I have the CheckoutUserId value? It's an integer, and I'm not finding the way to convert it to something useful for contacting that user.

Re: SharePoint CheckoutUserId value mapped to user's name or email?

I mocked up a quick prototype.  I have a button that invokes a Flow to make the REST call.  I pass in the ID value as the input parameter.  When I get the results back from the REST call I parse the JSON to turn it into a object.  Then I respond to PowerApps with the Email field from the parsed json.  The return value is stored in a context variable. Here's a screenshot of the Flow

This is the code to invoke the Flow.  I'm using a manual vlaue of "66" because I know that's a user in my system.

UpdateContext({returnvalue:('PowerAppsbutton-2'.Run("66")).email})

After the Flow returns the email address is in the returnvalue variable.

Hope that helps.

Re: SharePoint CheckoutUserId value mapped to user's name or email?

That integer is the ID of the user entry in the hidden user list for the site collection.  I think the only way to get that is through a REST call using HTTP.  The call you need would be this one.

/_api/Web/GetUserById(ID#)

Re: SharePoint CheckoutUserId value mapped to user's name or email?

Thanks!

I think I'm now getting that call working, but it's my first time handling an object (the User object includes many properties, and the Email property is the most important.) How do I access a specific property in an object? (I need to  assign that value to a string variable)
