SharePoint Status Change Workflow

Hi,

Using a SharePoint list and I have a Status column with following values.

Status = Received, Pending and Completed.

I want email users based on the status.

when a item is created, default status= Received - send email

Change status= Pending -Send email

Change status- Completed -Send email

I used the switch step but the issue is , when something else is changed in the list, like comments column, email is sent again. I want email to be sent only when the status column is changed.

Any help is appreciated.

hi @PBala  you need to use trigger conditions to prevent the execution from editing other fields see

Thanks for point me in the right direction.

I used the below trigger to achieve the result.

@or(equals(triggerBody()?['Status']?['value'],'Received'),equals(triggerBody()?['Status']?['value'],'Pending') ,equals(triggerBody()?['Status']?['value'],'Completed'))

Thanks

Pbala
