SharePoint Update File Proprties missing metadata terms

Hi, I'm trying to build a basic Flow that looks through a library looking for keywords in filenames or folder names. If found it should add a specific metadata term to the corresponding column.

This works well, but it seems like there is a limit to how many managed terms you can have in a termset for Flow to be able to let you select them. (20 to be more precise).

Is this a bug and is there a way around it? It does not help to specify the missing term as a custom value - that only makes the Flow crash.

Re: SharePoint Update File Proprties missing metadata terms

Hi @ErikW ,

If you are talking about the Term Store which only displays the first 20 items in Flow, this situation does exist.

It seems that it is a default limit, because it is not able to estimate the number of items that will be included in the metadata terms that each user will use. If there are many, the display may be poor, so the default limit is made.

However, we could configure the specified metadata term by using custom value.

I speculate that when you configure the corresponding field, you directly enter the value of the corresponding option display. In fact, we need to enter the corresponding GUID.

Please refer to the methods provided in the similar Thread:

Thanks! This is exactly what I was trying to describe! Will definitely look into this workaround.
