SharePoint when an item is created or modified not triggering

Hi all, 

I've checked the community and seen many people have had this issue, but I haven't seen any concrete answers to why it happens so I'm hoping someone can help.

I have a flow with the trigger "when an item is created or modified" in a SharePoint list (actually an MS List in Teams, but same thing 🙂 ). For the moment there are no column filters on the flow so it should trigger at any modification. I have a choice column for the status and yesterday when I changed the status the flow didn't trigger at all. The same thing happened a few days ago. However, when other modifications were made yesterday the flow did trigger. Today I opened the flow and resaved it and now it is triggering ok. 

Are there any known issues with this trigger and ways to avoid problems? Are there any issues with editing in grid-view vs. opening the whole record for example?
