Sharepoint Datetime

Hello, I have two SHP lists and a flow that copies contents of items from list A to list B.

As of last week (not sure when precisely) this flow is broken with:

"status": 502, "message": "The string was not recognized as a valid DateTime.

There is an unknown word starting at index 0.",

I can see that flow is trying to input date in format: 2017-06-27, which is strange as the source and target lists are formated in the same way 06/27/2017.

The trigger is: when a SHP item is modified and the output is also 2017-06-27.

SHP is set to US datetime formatting.

Is there a way to parse it from 2017-06-27 to 06/27/2017?

I looked into

but am afraid that it would take me too long to figure it out by myself. Anyone had similiar problem?

Re: Sharepoint Datetime

Hi @avt,

I think the date format is not the issue.

Flow would use the UTC format for the date time, and after the date string has been submitted to the data source, it will then change to the format defined at the data source side.

Would you please share a screenshot of the running details for the failed flow? Specially the SharePoint Update item Action, make sure the Error message is captured.

Further, if you would like to Input the date string manually, then make sure the string format is as below:

Flow input boxes do not support the other date formats currently.

Besides, if you would like to have Microsoft Flow recognize the time format, we could take use of formatDateTime() function, with the help of the Compose Action, after that, use the output of the compose Action as the Value input in the SharePoint Update item action.
