Sharepoint folder creation from a excel list

Hi community, Thank you for your kind consideration of my problem.

I need to create a lot of folders (for each individual client). I have the list in an excel table and had a flow created (see attached). The flow runs fine without error. But not a single folder is created.

 The flow is :

Capture d’écran 2021-03-16 à 12.35.45.png

Where the get metadata helps to check wether the folder allready exists or not. If no then it creates a new one.

The folder name is coming from a variable (and info from the excel file):

Capture d’écran 2021-03-16 à 12.38.23.png

And the create folder details are:

Capture d’écran 2021-03-16 à 12.39.34.png

The flow runs fine :

Capture d’écran 2021-03-16 à 12.40.55.png

But still not a single folder is created... (and I expect more than 100 to be created).

Is anyone able to say where i'm wrong in this simple flow?

Hi @FredD44

I had the same issue in the past. Instead of creating a folder, the workaround that I found was to create a file in a new location (the folder that you want to create). The folder and the file are created, and then you can remove them based on the file's ID.

So let's say you can to create the folder:

/one/two/

You can create a file in /one/two/file.txt

and then remove the file.

I know this looks strange, but I found the only way to create the empty folders.

Can you please check if and let me know if you have any questions?

Cheers
Manuel

Hi @manuelstgomes, your tips did solve my problem ! Thank you. (I do not really understand why actually create a file in a folder is needed to actually create the said folder; but it has solved my problem).
