Splitting on the last incidence of a delimiter

How do you split on the last incidence of a delimiter? Specifically, I am looking to extract the email from this string.

 

 

i:0#.f|membership|username@address.edu

You'll want to use the last() expression which will give you the last item in the array created by split().  See my example below:
