'Start and wait for an approval' attachment functionality removed?

Good morning Power Automate Community,

I was a bit puzzled this morning when I went to program a 'Start and wait for an approval' card in a new Flow, only to discover that the attachment function was missing from the advanced options dropdown entirely.

Upon looking at previously created Flows with the 'Start and wait for an approval' card, it looks like the functionality has been removed there as well, displaying this in the place of where my interface to add attachments used to be:

Furthermore, when I attempt to save this flow, I receive an error message prompting me to remove the attachment array from the approval email, stating that it is no longer present in the schema, similar to how an Excel card would prompt you to remove a column that no longer exists from the schema:

I have done some Google searches and some looking around on the forums, but I see no news about this functionality being removed.

Am I missing something?

That's so strange! Here's what mine looks like:

Have you removed it and re-added it to make sure you have a current version and not a deprecated one that isn't pulling items correctly?  Also, is this a flow created in the regular Power Automate studio or perhaps in a different version like Power Automate for Teams?

The functionality is missing even with brand new 'Start and wait for an approval' cards added to Flows today, yes.

I create all my Flows directly in the flow.microsoft.com webpage.

Edit:

I found another post in the 'General Discussion' forum detailing the same issue:
https://powerusers.microsoft.com/t5/General-Power-Automate/Start-and-wait-for-an-approval-attachment...

This issue is still present today. Anyone?

Hey there Pstork1,

Glad to hear it isn't an issue on my end. I'll flag this as an accepted solution.

Thanks for the heads up!

I'm facing with the same issue, I am unable to see the attachment function for a new flow and would get the same error/message for my previous flows. Hope it gets fixed soon

Same issue here. All existing flows work as long as I don't try to edit them. No new ones have the attachments in the Start and Wait for Approval also.

Same issue here. I have already created a new flow but have the same issue no attachment box appears at all and for mine, I used the "Create an approval" not "Start and wait for approval".

Gosh, I thought I am the only one facing this issue as well...

I'm very waiting for a fix, but not yet.

Looks like this issue has been resolved, for me at least, as of this morning - March 29th, 2021 EST

The product team has identified the issue and a fix is currently being rolled out.  If you are still having the problem wait a couple days and it should clear up when the fix reaches your tenant.
