Strip text string & single following line break only from output

Hi,

I am trying to convert an email's HTML output into a Word doc using Encodian App, however this is failing due to M365 sensitivity labels in the email headers.

Manually removing the "msip_labels:" line causes everything to work however I am struggling with how to remove the line as well as the linebreak following it with Power Automate so the text is concurrent as would be expected if it was never inserted.

From my investigations, I flagged it might be an encoding issue with how the linebreaks are handled, but trying to utilize variations of the below hasn't worked.

I found but this but it would replace all line breaks: "replace('a\nb','\n',decodeUriComponent('%0A'))"

Either the expression ends up being invalid, it just doesn't match anymore to msip_labels: when i start adding stuff after : or it doesn't remove the line break but does remove the msip_labels:

Can you pass in the HTML output into a Compose action and add the following expression to see what encoding is on that line. That might give you exactly what you need to remove in order to completely remove the line.

If it's just a space after the text 'msip_labels:' then a new line character you could try the following:

replace(outputs('Export_email_(V2)')?['body'], decodeUriComponent('msip_labels:%20%0A'), '')

Here is what I would do. Take the output as is, and create a file on OneDrive using that content. Then open the file up in Notepad++ or similar and then you will be able to see how the line ending is encoded:

Post a screenshot of what you see and then I will give you a replace expression that will do what you want. I suspect one of these would do it:

replace(outputs('Export_email_(V2)')?['body'], concat('msip_labels:', decodeUriComponent('%0A')) ,'')

replace(outputs('Export_email_(V2)')?['body'], concat('msip_labels:', decodeUriComponent('%0D%0A') ,'')

The first one will replace Unix style \n and the second one would do Windows style \r\n.

Thank you so much, it was the second one that worked, though I had to add another ) into the decode part like the first one as it was saying invalid.
