We are looking for a way to simply use Power Automate to sync group membership from a source Microsoft 365 Group to a destination Microsoft 365 group. We are looking to Power Automated since M365 groups cannot be nested, but we need to have users added / removed from parent groups when users are added/removed from related child groups.
The concept is that we have a departmental structure such as this:
M365 Group - Department (User1, User2, User3, User4)
M365 Group - Sub-Department-1 (User1, User2)
M365 Group - Sub-Department-2 (User3, User4)
If a new User5 is added to either 'M365 Group - Sub-Department-1' or 'M365 Group - Sub-Department-2' then they should be added to 'M365 Group - Department'. If any user is removed from a sub group, they should also be removed from parent group.
I could not find a template to do this. Any ideas?
