In a nutshell, I need a Distribution list, with its membership being determined by an external identity manager.
However, the identity manager has restrictions that prevent me from doing so.
The only thing it can push to O365, group or list wise, is a security group.
My initial thought was to convert the security group into another type after it was created.
But I have been told that group types cannot be changed once a group is made.
Being cheeky, I then had it create a security group, deleted it in O365, and created another group with a different type, but with the same name. This simply broke the connection.
Next, I thought "Could I sync membership from the security group to another group type?"
I'm wondering if there's a flow in Automate that can achieve this goal.
I saw something similar, but this is for a O365 group to another O365 group.
I tried my hand at modifying the solution, but because its a security group, it throws an error for the groupid.
Does anyone have any ideas for this?
