Hello Community,
I have seen similar posts on this subject before, but I did not find the answer I was looking for
The flow fails when it's trying to update a column in my SharePoint List
I have a status Column and I've configured it to update to Approved.
This is the error that I get
This is the step where the flow fails
Any suggestions on how to get this fixed?
This is my overall flow, which works okay only to the Point of Update Item - Status Approved
Thank you in advance
Claire

Hi @ClaireAllen,
Can you try and use the Business / Department Value attribute instead and see if that works?
Hi @ClaireAllen,
The error shows that it can't find a value in the term store.
So I have a couple of questions:
- Which of the columns in the nominate-list are of type managed metadata?
- Is that column using an open or closed term set?
- And which values are you inputting in this example flow instance?
Hello @Expiscornovus
Thank you for coming back to me,
The Column that is type managed metadata is the Business / Department
Sorry I don't understand what you mean by - Is that column using an open or closed term set?
When I configured the Update Item, this is the input
When I go to the Dynamic Content, I have other options
Should I be using something else?
Thank you for your assistance.
Kind regards
Claire
Hi @ClaireAllen,

Thank you @Expiscornovus
That worked, but then I ran into another issue where it could not find the employee name, so I had to change that and use the dynamic content as Employee Name Display, as shown in the screen shot below
Both changes added an Apply to Each, but now works without any errors
Thank you for the solution.
Regards
Claire
Hi @ClaireAllen,
Great to hear that you manage to fix it.
Btw, this is a nice blog from Joanne on how to update several type of SharePoint columns. Might also be a useful resource to keep in mind:
