Time Management

So I'm very new to flow and the endless possiblities but it boggles my mind.

Heres what i want to do.

We have 3 field engineers. I want them to be able to press a button when they start their project and have the date/time logged in a excel spreadsheet. Then when they finish press the button again and have the sheet find the last entry for that engineer and edit the row so the end time is filled in. as a bonus would be good if there was an input so they could specify what project they was working on.

Any body brave enough to take on this challenge?

Hi @stumiles86

Yes you will take on the flow challenge!

The below should help you figure out where to get started:

Flow Type: Manual

Trigger: Press a Button

- Get Rows in Table from the Excel

- Check to see if existing Row Exists for Today for Specific User

- If No create row with Name Date/Time

- If yes update row with Name Date/Time

I have not played with Get Row, but it may fail if there are no results so you may need to configure the run after. will look something like this:

Re: Time Management

Hi @Gristy!,

So I currently have the following...

If i select start when clicking the button I get a new entry with the name, current time in the start time field.

When i click stop on the button and check the log it gives me 1 result which is the entry with my username and a blank time finished cell.

However, how do i now update this row? everytime ive tried the update row it just updates the first entry that matches my username.
