Triggering runbooks

Hi Team,

Are there any connectors which helps us to trigger Runbooks to run on a hybrid worker with a custom credential.

My whole intent was to Monitor a SFTP folder and as soon as there is a file I want to trigger a Runbook which does some job for me

Hi @ Sundeep,

Do you want to trigger a flow when a file is created in SFTP folder?

Microsoft flow support the trigger "When a file is added or modified" of SFTP connector currently.

How would the "Runbook" that you mentioned do when the flow is triggered?

Please share more details so we could try to help you.

Alice Zhang

Hi,

My intent was to kick off a runbook in a Automation Account when ever I see a file available (created) on SFTP.

Its just not copying , rather I have many other things I wanted to do when a file is available. As the file creation on the FTP is data availability bound, I cannot schedule my Runbook on a timely basis and I do not want to schedule it say hourly once and waste the resources. So if a file is created on SFTP, and if FLOW can provide me a connector to trigger [based on the output of the former "When a file is added or modified"] my Runbook, that can solve my issue.

thanks

Sundeep
