Trying to Build a Flow that adds email attachments to a Sharepoint List

Hi All, 

 

Hopefully someone can help with this. I am attempting to build a flow that will (1) generate a new item on a SharePoint list with various data points (2) add any email attachments to the item created. The first part of the flow works fine; however, I keep getting an error when the flow attempts to add the attachment to the SharePoint item that was created. Any thoughts here?

Hi @Anonymous 

 

Let me ask you couple of questions.

 

If you have more than one attachment you are going to create more than one item is SharePoint? Or you want to create one item and attach all attachments under the newly created item.

 

Also I can see a Get Items in your screenshot. What's the purpose of this Get items here?

Please try to set Include Attachments in When a new email arrives(V3) to Yes, then this problem will be solved.

Hi @v-bacao-msft - The Include Attachments option was already set to yes and the same error occurs so it doesn't seem like that is the issue.

Hi @abm  - Thanks for the quick response! I only want 1 item created in the SharePoint list per email trigger and for any and all attachments to be included in that item. 

 

As for the Get Items, that's just the latest command I attempted as I trial and error the issue. I figured I might need to call out the newly created item in the list to add attachments (clearly, that isn't the case lol).

That doesn't appear to be the case, although I could be looking at the wrong area? The only null value shows up besides ContentBytes .

@v-bacao-msft Actually I think that was the issue. The file I was sending is stored on one drive/sharepoint which could have been the issue? I attempted a new test and used a PDF file I saved to my desktop and the flow was successful (screenshot attached). I think I'll mark you answer as the solution. Annotation 2020-03-31 211609.png
