Trying to make a timed flow from an example but options are missing

Hi all,

I have been looking for a while for a way to make my flow only work within business hours.

The existing flow I have for the job works fine but if the servers go off in the night I get lots of spam warnings which I am trying to curb.

So I happened to find this which seems to be the answer to my prayers

https://www.alanps1.io/power-platform/so-you-just-want-flow-running-in-business-hours-8am-to-5pm/

If I can get this working ahead of my flow then I should be sorted but..

The code from the website gives an expression is not valid warning when I try and add it to the expression box.

I even typed it by hand and all the expressions are there but it still gives the error?

Does anyone know why?

Alternatively can anyone suggest a better way if this isn't possible?

Many thanks

Hello @jeremy_heath ,

in the link it seems like the old way of using conditions in your flow, now you have a different user interface where you don't have to type in the whole expression. Instead, you need to split the expression into pieces.

Hi @tom_riha

I have managed to get further with that now many thanks.

I am adding the email to me part now from my original flow

However I have hit a snag if you have spare time?

Every time I try to add the Get Email V2 to grab the message ID so I can see if the mail has been read,

It adds an Apply to each around the Get Email V2

My original works fine with a Apply to each

So how do I stop it creating with the Get email?

Jeremy

Hello @jeremy_heath

check out my blog on how to bypass the apply to each loop:

@Jcook geez all that to stop the box 😞
I'm a beginner btw,

Question does it matter if I leave the box? And build the rest of the flow inside it?

Will it still work properly?

Hello @jeremy_heath

Yes of course you could just build it inside the Apply to each block.

It will work as expected. One thing to note, is that you wont be able to reference anything inside the Apply to each when outside the Loop.

So as long as you contain everything inside the Apply to each, it will be fine.
