Trying to use Power Automate to send email reminder to employees is not working

Hi there,

I have a flow here. Basically I am trying to send employees reminder emails who did not complete their timesheets every Friday and following Monday. I have an excel file where I keep all the employees names as "Employee" columns and their emails. When an employee fills her/his timesheet, it goes to a Sharepoint list. What I like to do is to make a comparison with my excel file and Sharepoint list if the employees names are matching if not matching which means the person did not submit timesheet for the week so those employees should receive the email reminder. The column name is also called "Employee" in the SharePoint list.

Another comparison needed also because in the Sharepoint list the submission status is not always "Approved" cause some people create their timesheet and leave the application without completing it, so we want to send these employees email who have their name in the Sharepoint list but their status is not approved.

Here's my screenshots of my flows:

This is the condition formula that I have in the screenshot:

length(outputs('Get_items')?['body/value'])

Somehow, I feel there is no comparison being made. This flow sends reminder emails to everyone who has their name in my excel sheet. Could anyone please tell me what I am doing wrong or missing?

In my get items I have a comparison with the Employee column from Sharepoint to Employee column in excel and the second condition is the checking id the status equal to approved. They were not dynamic contents and I had to add a custom value.

Hope everything make sense and thank you in advance for all the help!

In relation to the filter, you need to use an OData expression in your filter, in this case you can try the following

(Status eq 'Approved') and (Employee/EMail eq '<Employee Email>')

Hi @Anonymous ,

I believe your condition is wrong.

Can you please try the condition below?

length(body(‘Get_items’)?[‘value’])

In relation to the filter, you need to use an OData expression in your filter, in this case you can try the following

(Status eq 'Approved') and (Employee/EMail eq '<Employee Email>')
