UI Flow - Load Test

I am planning to use UI Flow to perform the load test for a desktop application.

Example

  • Open Outlook
  • Send Email
  • Close Outlook
  • Capture execution time as output
  • Pass the output to PowerApp or web service

I am not sure how to capture the flow action execution timing.

Besides, I found that not much actions I can add (example, Http request is not available) to my UI Flow to archive the above requirement.

Please advise.

Hi @Anonymous ,

Could you please take a try to record the current time at the beginning and the end of the flow, then you could calculate the interval between the two time?

Best Regards,

Alice

Hi Alice,

There is no such action like "create a variable" to capture the start time and end time.

Appreciate that if you can share your UI Flow on how to archive that.

hi @Anonymous  what you can do is before your UI flow action in PA use formatdatetime(utcnow(),'yyyy-MM-ddTHH:mm:ss') to get the current time before excecute your UI flow, an then after that you can add another, so you have there the time.

Hi @ChristianAbata,

Thanks for your reply. I am quite new to MS Flow and I am not sure how to archive your suggestion.

Appreciate that if you can share your sample UI Flow on how to archive that.

Best Regards,

John

Hi @ChristianAbata,

I never thought that I can trigger UI Flow from normal Flow setup.

Thank you for enlightening me.

John
