Unable to see "edit in advance mode " under flow conditions

as mentioned in the title, do not have the option to edit conditions in advance mode in my microsoft flows builder.

does it have anything to do with permissions access? or is there an updated way to access the advance mode ?

Re: Unable to see "edit in advance mode " under flow conditions

Hi @kale99,

Previously, we could select Edit in advanced mode then then enter the expressions in a text box. Now, there is no longer an Edit in advanced mode, instead if you want a very complex expression you can use the regular dynamic content expression builder to enter your expression on the left side of the row, then select Equals to and enter true in the right side.

The following blog on Advanced condition builder for your reference:

Best regards,

Mabel

Re: Unable to see "edit in advance mode " under flow conditions

This must have just been updated.  Edit in advanced mode appears to be gone now, replaced with a more visual logic tree.  Just hit Add below and it'll open up

Re: Unable to see "edit in advance mode " under flow conditions

I would like to add logic simlar to the following

@and

(

equals(triggerBody()?[‘_regardingobjectid_type’], ‘opportunities’),

equals(triggerBody()?[‘_statuscode_label’], ‘Received’)

)

i dont think i could do that without the advance mode can i ?

I've got the same problem here. Anyone from Microsoft able to confirm what's happened please?

Re: Unable to see "edit in advance mode " under flow conditions

You seem to be able to "Add Row" to build up nested expressions.

Re: Unable to see "edit in advance mode " under flow conditions

This is what that would look like in the new editor-

First, click Add, then Add Row

You'll see 2 rows.  You can add more, or create another group of conditions.

Re: Unable to see "edit in advance mode " under flow conditions

Running into this myself, on a flow I'm working on today. I cannot for the life of me, figure out how to structure this forumula in the new format. Thoughts?

@empty(body('Get_items')?['value'])

Re: Unable to see "edit in advance mode " under flow conditions

That is a good question, I wasn't able to figure that out either.

This should do as a workaround though.  Put your empty() check in a compose, then use that output for your condition.

I'll give it a go, and keep you posted.

I believe it's working, but I'm having other issues with my Flow that I need to flush out before being 100% sure.

Same problem... Glad to see I'm not the only one. Advanced Mode is missing.

Just ran into this exact issue creating a new flow. @SCTdan 's workaround is working for me.

Re: Unable to see "edit in advance mode " under flow conditions

"Greater than or equal to" is one of the options in the drop-down.

Re: Unable to see "edit in advance mode " under flow conditions

i may have an incorrect syntax. i am getting the error "expression invalid " when i enter the following in one line :

triggerBody()?[‘_regardingobjectid_type’], ‘opportunities’)

is it automatically set as regarding if it is entered the way you did ?

Please check here or here for a solution.

"Enter your expression on the left side of the row. Then, select Equals to and enter true."

So what used to be:

Has now become:

@SCTdan,

Like @shadoe, the workaround is working great!

Re: Unable to see "edit in advance mode " under flow conditions

Thank you! "Greater than or equal to" is not an option when working with Date/Time, but I was able to see these options when working with integers. I'm trying to set up a condition that sends an email if it is between a date range specified in a SharePoint list. This was my previous configuration:

Currently looking for a workaround.

Re: Unable to see "edit in advance mode " under flow conditions

My previous post provides a solution that will let you use the exact same expression (from the old style condition) as before when using the new condition builder. I hope it serves you well.

Thanks, Alan
