I am trying to create a flow that monitors for a new Phone Call activity and then updates a date field on a Lead record (basically I'm tracking the date of the last phone call to that lead).
Here is my flow:
This works, and the last activity field gets updated when I add a new phone call to the Lead.
However, I've found that it's creating new leads when adding phone call activities to other entities. For example, if i add a new activity to an Account record, a new (blank) Lead is created.
How can I stop this happening?
Are you sure new leads are getting created due to this flow? In Run history, do you see Flow runs?
Yes, it's definitely creating them. If I view the outputs of the flow history I can see that the _regardingobjectid_type is set as 'opportunities' on one of them.
I've created a workaround at the moment by inserting a 'get record' action looking for a Lead record. Obviously, if the guid on the input of this action is not a lead it fails. Although i'd rather a slicker way of doing this.
