Update Excel table from Sharepoint list

I have a big sharepointlist where I update status on diferent cases.

List structure

Active/awaiting/closed

Created

Jurisdiction (10 countries)

5 not relevant colums

I have an excel file with different charts of when cases was created, count of active cases for each country and so on.

How do I update the data table in excel with flow? In my sharepoint list I both add and change staus on cases. So I think I somehow want to replace the entire table in excel at midnight. But I don't find any function to delete a table in flow. I'm quite new to flow so there might be a different and more effective way to do this. If so, please tell me!

Re: Update Excel table from Sharepoint list

Hi @SP_dummy ,

As @yashag2255  said, you could add Action-List rows present in a table and Delete a row that can replace deleting tables.

It is recommended to use a column with unique value as the key column to delete all the rows.

And then you can use Action-Add a row into a table to update data from the SharePoint list. The following are reference screenshots of the flow configuration:

Delete a Table:

Update a table:

Please have a try, I hope it can help you.

Re: Update Excel table from Sharepoint list

Hi @SP_dummy

As you mentioned, currently delete a table action is not supported with teh EXCEL connector. Instead of deleting the entire table that way, you might want to do a List Rows present in a table action and use a filter query to filter the results that you want to delete and then put the delete row action in an apply to each loop.

Same goes for update a row, based on the item modified and the unique identifier for the excel row, you can modify the row by using the Update row action and providing the appropriate inputs.

Hope this Helps!
