Update SharePoint List Item when Azure DevOps Work Item is Updated

Hi Experts,

I have a flow that creates/updates ADO work item when a list item is created/modified on SharePoint.

I'm looking for a way to update my SharePoint List Item when that same item is updated on Azure DevOps.  The list has 5 fields (Name, Employee ID, Hours Worked, Amount, Status).

When a user updates "Status" field in Azure DevOps work item, it should update the "Status" field in SharePoint list item as well.

Both SharePoint and Azure DevOps fields are same.  So if any of the fields are updated on Azure DevOps,  it should make the exact same update on SharePoint list too.

It would be great if someone can share some ideas/examples. Thanks.

Hi @mbhammad ,

It's not difficult to implement your needs, but this may generate an unexpected loop.

When the list item is updated, then the work item is updated; when the work item is updated, then the list item is updated. This will cause two Flows to be triggered indefinitely.

Hope it makes sense.

Hi @v-bacao-msft ,

In my process,  users want to use ADO to edit the "Status" field, which has 2 options (Approve/Reject).  Once this action is performed,  then the SP List ("Status" field) should be updated with value selected in the ADO work item.  Would be interested in your thoughts.

P.S.  I'm a beginner and would really appreciate some extra details/screenshots if possible. Thanks.
