Hey @nmccool

I assume you have an list item in SharePoint which a date column, and as that date approaches you would like to update column on the same item?

This Flow may help...example SharePoint List:

1.png

 The Flow...

1.png

Start Date Expression: addDays(utcNow(),+1)

End Date Expression: addDays(utcNow(),+2)

The SharePoint action uses the OData filter to find all items where the 'Date' column value is 2 days ahead of today.

After execution:

yes, that is correct

I tried it with the exactly how you presented, and got an error so changed the Dates to my column names, and got an error message.  See the error messages below.

{
"status": 400,
"message": "The expression \"Date ge '2019-12-12T18:49:39.4410188Z' and Date it '2019-12-13T18:49:39.7691556Z'\" is not valid.\r\nclientRequestId: 9e2cce77-bc61-43c7-a219-b4b8297d1cf1\r\nserviceRequestId: 9e2cce77-bc61-43c7-a219-b4b8297d1cf1"
}
{

}

What am I doing wrong?

added pics to assist with my dilemma

@nmccool

1. The query is wrong... it should be lt, for 'less than'

"Workers_x0020_Compensation ge '2019-12-12T18:44:45.4687891Z' and General_x0020_Liability it '2019-12-13T18:44:45.6250775Z'

2. I'm not sure your column names are correct... the modern exp doesn't generate internal field names with the _x0020_ gap, so 'Workers_x0020_Compensation' would be 'WorkersCompensation'.

Please validate via list settings in SharePoint by selecting the column and checking the 'Field' url parameter.

Let me know how you get on

Cheers Jay

@Jay-Encodian

OK, OK... I did find the name, and it is the "Workers_x0020_Compensation" name.JPG

I did get it to run, but I am NOT seeing any results, so I changed the expressions (see below) so that I get anything after 120 ago up to today...

I am guessing the ge means greater than?  But it is still not producing my "DUE" in the column selected.  Does it take awhile if the list is really big?

Hi @nmccool

gt = greater than

ge = greater than or equals to

Have you validated the 'Get Items' query is returning data? you can check in the run history:

Might seem an obvious check.. but I did this 🙂 ... check the query to make sure the 'Outputs' are in the correct place

Let me know

Cheers J

@Jay-Encodian

No. I am not getting anything like yours...

Hi @nmccool ,

  1. First, determine the fields used to filter records. I'm not sure if you want to use General_x0020_Liability or Workers_x0020_Compensation.
  2. The second check is the type of the field, which needs to be a Date and time or a field whose format must conform to the Date format.
  3. The third check is that the field name is correct, I believe you already know how to get the correct field name. You can also try not to configure Filter Query first, then run Flow and look at the body of Get items and get the correct field name.

Please try again, please let us know if you have any questions.

Hey @nmccool

Can you recheck the filter query please and post for review:

 If the query looks correct, I would suggest creating a view on the SharePoint list and verifying you can see items in the view... it might then just be quicker / easier to use the view rather than an OData query.

@Jay-Encodian

It is WORKING!!!  I had the column as a single text, changed it to date/time, and i gt my results!!!  Thank you!
