I have a list that will need to be updated on occasion.
I will log certain changes in a separate list but there are two fields that get updated
1. a Yes/No and a field that will show
2. A choice field Active/Inactive
I dont want my workflow to loop.
Is there a way to do this or do I need to log everything in a separate list?

This is normally done by adding a trigger condition to the trigger that will keep it from re-triggering. One of the easiest ways to do that is by using a Service account to run the flow and adding a trigger condition that won't fire if that account makes an update.
