Update a single list item, date field, quarterly

I have a SP list…1.png

I need to set up a flow to work on one list item only ‘ Business Impact Analysis’

  1. Update the review date column quarterly, say on 01/11/19, 01/02/20, 01/05/20, 01/05/20
  2. Send a notification to the reviewer

I think I need:

  1. Recurrence – to check list daily
  2. Get items > filter query
Is it possible to use a filter query on the Title column to pull out a single item’s values?
I have used this with choice columns but this flow is failing here.

3. Then I need to figure out a way to handle the quarterly date update.
I was hoping to use apply to each > condition based on the review date.

I’m not sure about the formula. formatDateTime or AddDays?

I’d be grateful for any assistance. Thanks everso.

Did you try to wrap the value in your ODATA expression wrapped in single quotes? I guess it is a string and we need to wrap it in single quotes ' '

You will find some examples here:

Hope this helps

Re: Update a single list item, date field, quarterly

Aha. Didn't need quotes with my choice fields. That works thanks.

So I have another flow that works on all items on this list to update the review date annually. Only this one document needs a quarterly review. Is there a way to exclude this one document/item from that first flow?

Then I could run another flow to update this one doc every 90 days.

Thanks, Vicki

@Victoria

My suggestion is to use a specific value on a column to identify those items you need to review quarterly.

And apply the corresponding filters to get them /exclude them, depending on your service logic needs.

For filter purposes, there are three different approaches than can be useful for you:

-"Apply to each" combined with a "Condition" action block

-"Filter Array" action block

-ODATA Filter Query expressions on the "Get items" action block (such inputs are available when you click on "Show Advanced Options")

Let's suppose your "Notes"column is string based; and you use the value "Review quarterly" for those items. This way it will be very easy to get them /exclude them.

Hope this helps
