Update row, with Excel friendly date format

I have got a flow that updates a row with the date an approval was given.

It works perfectly, except for one vital part.

The sheet it puts the date into has many graphs and formulas to measure performance, but excel does not pick up the dates flow enters.

If i click on the date in excel and press enter it then recognizes it, but doing this time and again isn't the best solution.

Can anyone help with the way around this?

formatDateTime(utcNow(),'dd/MM/yyyy')

This is the expression i have used at the moment.

The excel column is formatted as a date dd/mm/yyyy.

If i manually type a date in it picks it up fine, only when my flow enters a date it doesn't until I go into the excel file, select the cell and press enter

Could you test creating a new column as text and update the date in this field. Lets see how it appears?

Added a column, made the existing data all text (appears as numbers now)

Run the flow and it inserts in dd/mm/yyyy format and the formula's do not recognize it either, even after selecting and pressing enter.

Thanks for your quick reply.

What I meant was try to add a new column as text. Do another run from flow. See how it goes. Looks like you changed the existing column as well. So format the excel text column to date format. It should display from number to date.
