I have a flow that runs 4 approvals. Once an item is approved the approver gets sent Form to fill out for further information. The last step in the Flow creates the row in Excel with the Material Number. I have 4 separate forms that I need to collect the data for into a single row in Excel. Is this possible?
The Material Number is the one constant through out the all the forms.
|Material||Form 1 Answer 1||Form 1 Answer 2||Form 1 Answer 3||Form 2 Answer 1||Form 2 Answer 2||Form 2 Answer 3||Form 3 Answer 1|
What kind of form? MS Forms or Excel form?
What is the approval process? Is there any order of approval?
Too many question about your requirements.
I don't know how to get started.
Please provide more details about your needs, which will help me sort out your needs and provide the right approach.
Sorry about that, this is my first time using Flow.
The flow is kicked off when a new item is created in Sharepoint. The first item in that list is the material number, for instant 123456
There is an order of approval this basic flow repeats through the various departments. The MS Form links are emailed to the approver.
After the final step in the last approval a row is created Excel with only the materal number populated. ( 123456 )
I'm curious if it's possible to populate the same row with the information from the individual MS Forms tied to one Material number ( 123456 ) Everything I do seems to result in a new row being created.
Form Example, I need to collect the responses from 6 different forms from 4 different approvers.
Hopefully I've explained it adequately.
Sorted it out. I was creating the "Material" number manually in the spread sheet for testing and I'm guessing it wasn't creating the proper ID / Links. Once the Material field was created via the flow everything worked as it should.
Sorry, I didn't respond in time, but it's great. It seems that you solved it yourself.
