I built a Flow which creates a copy of Dataverse emails and attachments in SharePoint, and replaces the Description field of Dataverse Emails with a url link. Our company utilizes CRM for case management and we're starting to run into storage capacity issues due to the number of emails we track, so this solution is much needed.
However, an unintended side-effect is that running the Flow will overwrite the Modified On field of Emails. As a result, the Timeline for CRM cases becomes meaningless as you can no longer view when emails were sent/received (e.g. below). Unfortunately, the "Update a Row" Dataverse action in Power Automate doesn't let you set a value for the Modified On field (it's automatic). Is there any other way to not make any changes to this field, or am I out of luck and will have to modify the Timeline component of our CRM App to be based off of other fields (e.g. Created On)?
Hi @alex93jansen ,
System default columns are all non-editable, please configure a new Date&Time custom column to store the modified on values from the Emails.
