Use Form responses to copy file and fill file with response data

Hi,

I'm hoping to use MS Forms to make a process within my company a lot easier. I want the responses from the form to copy an existing file and then populate the file with the response and then save it.

So with every response a new file is created with the information from that form?

Is this something which can be done if so how

Hi @AndrewK93 ,

You can do that.  However, as there isnt an action to create a new Excel file, you will need to first create an empty Excel file with a table, upload it to a library and use it as a template by copying it using the Copy File action in SharePoint.

Heres a basic outline for the flow.

Hi @AndrewK93 ,

Replace the insert row action with update row.  You will need to specify a column key and value which is used to identify which row/s you want to update

Ahh okay, I will need to update every row within the file. Thats the thing, Im not sure if im coming at this from the wrong angle.

Heres an example of the Spreadsheet,  So Where A - H is, Theres a bunch of questions in Column A and then the form data will be inputted in column B

Heres what im trying to achieve and it might be easier to understand. Im trying to make a process more eaiser to comeplete. So rather than people opening this Excel sheet and inputting the informaation. Im trying to use MC Forms as a more user friendly format.

So all of the criteria required in Excel, has been asked in Forms. Theres roughly about 20q's
