Use an Excel Spreadsheet as a Template: Create a new copy of Excel file with a button

I want to migrate from using Google Sheets to Excel Online. I have a Sheets template for a Customer Service Log that I need to create a unique file from this template each time I meet with a client (multiple times a day). For Sheets, all I have to do is bookmark the link to that template and add /copy to the end of the url - that creates a button with which I can create a new Sheets file from this template. How do I do this with an Excel file? I want a single button that creates a new Customer Service Log in a specific OneDrive folder - bonus if I can change the name of the file in the process, even better if it automatically names the file the date and time it's created.
