Using Flow to move file from SFTP to File System

Hi everyone!

I am completely new to Flow but I have a simple task that I think can be completed with it. I have an SFTP site that generates a text file every night. I'd like to set up a flow that would move the text file from the SFTP site to a folder on my local machine.

I've started creating the flow "When a file is added or modified -> Copy File" using the SFTP and File System connectors. When I test the flow, the SFTP portion works fine, but the "copy file" action fails:

Config:

Source URL: [FilePath] (using the file path dynamic content from the SFTP action)

Destination file path: C:\MS Flow Test\test.txt

Overwrite?: No

The error I receive looks like I've screwed up the file path, but I'll be honest I don't fully now what I'm doing so I might have missed a step.

{
"status": 400,
"message": "The requested action could not be completed. Check your request parameters to make sure the path 'C:\\MS Flow Test/test.txt' exists on your file system.\r\nclientRequestId: 795b6a8a-bda4-4937-8415-22170af8784f",
"source": "filesystem-cus.azconn-cus.p.azurewebsites.net"
}

Does anyone have any suggestions?

Re: Using Flow to move file from SFTP to File System

Hi @Anonymous,

Have you create a connection with File system connector?

Please take a try to add a "Get file content" action of SFTP connector to get the file content,and then add the "Create file" action of File system connector to copy the file to File system instead of use the "copy file" action File system connector.

Please take a try on your side and let me know if your problem could be solved.

Best regards,

Alice
