Using a Lookup Column to Populate a Field

I have List (List 1) and a Document Library (List 2). I'm trying to attach documents to a specific record (list 1) I've built with Power Apps and then have Flow copy those documents over into the document library with the correct metadata.  Everything is working beautifully, EXCEPT, I cannot figure out how to get the information from the List 1 (text field) to populate the List 2 (lookup column) via Flow.  Hopefully, the illustrations will help clarify.  Any guidance -- I've searched and searched and can't seem to find my answer. FlowDocumentLibrary.jpgList 2 (Document Library that requires information be populate into the lookup field.FlowLookupField.jpgThe flow on List 1

Re: Using a Lookup Column to Populate a Field

Hi CindyZ,

According to your description, you want to copy the Attachments from a list to a library, and update the metadata together.

There is a column named ‘Matter Name’ in list, you want to insert this value into the lookup column ‘investigation’ in the library.

I have made a flow for your scenario, please check it for a reference.

You need choose the Item Id in the Investiquation ID field.

Re: Using a Lookup Column to Populate a Field

@CindyZ

As far as I know, in the update item action, a lookup field will only accept the values from the dropdown or you could enter the id of the lookup value if you click on custom value.

Thanks,

Thanks for your reply. I may wind up having to go with the ID.  I was sure hoping not!
