Visual studio online: link to work item

Hello! I'm trying to create task work items in Visual Studio online when an end user creates new rows in a Smartsheet so that I can link their requests to my developers and better manage their work.

I'd like to link the work items automatically in Flow to a master work item assigned to me so that I can dole out work and prepare detailed work items for my team.

I'm running into a problem in the Create New Work Item step. In the 'Link URL' field I'm getting an error response:

{
  "$id": "1",
  "innerException": null,
  "message": "Linking to a work item requires the full url.",
  "typeName": "Microsoft.VisualStudio.Services.Common.VssPropertyValidationException, Microsoft.VisualStudio.Services.Common, Version=14.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=XXXXXXXXXXXX",
  "typeKey": "VssPropertyValidationException",
  "errorCode": 0,
  "eventId": 3000
}

I've tried several different URLs for the work item I'd like to link to: the webservice api, the link it gives me in the work item editor, the workItemUpdates url... they're all 'full urls' that resolve...

It's got to be something but I'm really unsure what it could be. Do any of you know what this field could be looking for?

Hi,

When providing 'Link Url'  please follow Visual studio api format to refer to a work item. (workitem url in the vso site doesn't work)

https://{instance}[/{collection}[/{team-project}]/_apis[/{area}]/{resource}

ex: workitem id : 123, DefaultCollection, projectname: Project1

Link Url : https://{instance}/DefaultCollection/Project1/_apis/wit/123

 Please see api reference for more details.

 Thanks

Chandra
