Wait for field to change (Do Until isn't working)

Hi All,

I've read this: https://powerusers.microsoft.com/t5/Building-Flows/Wait-for-field-change-Action/m-p/39501/highlight/...

And everyone seems to say Do Until works. It doesn't for me.

I want me flow to wait until a drop down is set to 'Yes' from it's default 'Select...' then I want it to proceed.

I've tried a Do Until (in fact two in a row):

But the flow just ignores them. I'm fairly sure I'm not using them correctly.

My question is - how would I create a wait for field to change?

Re: Wait for field to change (Do Until isn't working)

Hi @cardinalpipkin,

There is a blog about do-until, please check the blog for a reference:

https://syscloudpro.com/2018/05/20/microsoft-flow-mystery-of-do-until-loop/

If possible, please show me more details about your scenario, I will help make a test on my side.

Best regards,

Re: Wait for field to change (Do Until isn't working)

Hi Mabel,

I've just read through the blog post. This seems to suggest that a Do Until isn't as efficient as a 'wait until field changes' that a SPD workflow can do. I would have to set a count and a delay but this would limit it to a finite wait time with the addition of the workflow waiting for the delay to complete. Is this right?

My scenario is simply wanting the flow to wait until a field is equal to something as below (in the pic below I've used the blog posts suggestion):

Would it be a better idea to have a second flow that runs on item change only, where right at the start it looks at these fields?
