What is this right-click menu in expression builder? I.e. How do you use the Command Palette?

I just discovered that if I'm in the expression builder (aka formula builder, function builder, formula editor, etc.) and I right mouse click I get an unusual context menu that shows the following options:

  • Change All Occurrences
  • Cut
  • Copy
  • Paste
  • Command Palette

Does anybody know how to use the "Change All Occurrences" or "Command Palette" options?

I'm not even sure this is coming in from Power Automate or the Web browser (though it is obviously not the normal Chrome context menu shown for normal textboxes).

I'm hoping somebody knows more, and deep in my heart I'm nurturing a wish that the Command Palette is a terminal mode for Flow/Logic App expressions where you can quickly run/evaluate expressions without having to go use a stand-alone expression testing flow.

Anyone?

It appears to be an Azure Cloud Shell thing.

https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/cloud-shell/using-cloud-shell-editor

For the Command Palette, if you type in "Help", it pulls back the same info.

I also sent through an "add cursor above", and it did indeed do that. I also highlighted a word, hit F1, and typed "cat" and it did go and highlight the other occurrence of "Cat" in my expression.

Go here, press F1, and it gives a full list of commands.

For the Change All Occurrences, if you highlight one word and then right click and select that, it'll automatically highlight the others for  you so you can change them all at the same time.

Three cursors at the same time!

@Rhiassuring you ROCK!  I didn't expect anybody to even surface this silly (off-topic) question, let alone answer it so quick and so well.

I'm glad I asked.  The multi-cursor editing from the Change All Occurrences option could be handy.  Normally I keep VS Code open as I build my flows and use its robust search/replace and text editing features, but for quick little changes (e.g. when I changed the name of a variable and have an expression with multiple references to it), this could be faster.  Thanks!

(edited to add the following...)

So I went to https://microsoft.github.io/monaco-editor/playground.html hit F1 and tried playing with the Monaco playground's command palette.  Then I tried to use some of the commands in the Flow Editor Builder (in its Command Palette), and yep, some of them worked (e.g. Add Cursors to Line Ends, Copy Line Down, Copy Line Up).  The F2 (shortcut for Change All Occurrences command) seems to be the most useful of the bunch....mainly as the commands' shortcuts don't seem to work in the Flow Editor Builder....and it's faster to copy/past->fix->copy/paste using VSCode than type the command phrases.  Nonetheless, pretty cool "bubbled-up feature" to "find."
