When a SharePoint ist item is modified, copy the list item to an archive

Hello

I'm wondering if anyone can help me, I have a list which is basically a report, I want to be able to create a flow that would copy the modified version into another list and continuously do this so it basically builds an ongoing archive of this report. This would be based on a trigger though to tick a box in the list to say its complete.

Can anyone help me with this?

Re: When a SharePoint ist item is modified, copy the list item to an archive

Hi Craig,

If you only want to copy a SharePoint list item to another list when modified, then I think this can be done the a similar flow like this:

If this is not your requirement, please help explain it.

Will that not just create the title of it? I need to take all the information. Also I'm guessing I will need to create a table that is exactly the same as the one I am already using?

Thanks for the help!

Re: When a SharePoint ist item is modified, copy the list item to an archive

Hi Craig,

That's correct. I'm just using my list as an example. If you want to copy all the columns from list A to list B, then you need to add exactly the same columns from A in B. And then you fill all the columns in list B in its action with the dynamic content of list A.

Re: When a SharePoint ist item is modified, copy the list item to an archive

Ok, I have done this but instead of going to a seperate list i am just copying it into the same list. But when i do it I get a large number of copies, it seems to just keep creating a new file over again for some reason. Why is this?
