When an item is created or modified unable to get second condition to work

Greetings Smiley Happy

I´m bulding a flow to send email notifications.

When a list item is changed, I initialize a time variable then apply a condition1 that applies to a SharePoint multiple choice column (If Status = XYZ) the Yes option sends an email then I added Delay Until with the time variable. It works alright up to this point. Then, after the Delay Until I set another condition2 same to the first one (If Status = XYZ) then it should send an email2. However, even if the Status changes to anything different than XYZ the 2nd email is sent.

I might be missing something so that the Flow verifies if the item is still Status=XYZ because it looks like it´s taking the first condition only*

These are the different Flows I attempted with no success:

Flow 1Flow1.png

Flow 2

Flow2.png

Flow 3

Flow3.png

Flow 4

If I were to add the Apply to Each then it sends it multiple times and I just need it to evaluate for that one item that was modified**

Any advise or workaround is greatly appreciated 🙂

Re: When an item is created or modified unable to get second condition to work

Hi @AuroraS,

Could you share more details on your scenario?

Why do you add two same conditions in the flow?

It seems that you would like to send the notification if the Condition1 matches, then you may do some changes on the item and you want the flow detect the second change you’ve made using Condition2. Am I right?

The whole flow will use only one trigger at a time. For your scenario, if you modified the Status to XYZ, then the flow would be triggered, and move on to the following actions. However, if you modified the Status to AAA, another trigger would happen. Though you are using a Delay until action in the flow, Condition2 will still use the Status XYZ but not AAA.

Hope this make sense.

Best regards,

Mabel

@v-yamao-msft

Hello!

I apologize for the long time it took me to accept as solution. I ended up with a workaround having more than one condition then triggering a second flow. Thank you for letting me know this was not possible!

Regards
