When item is updated, update the same sharepoint list - infinite loop

Hello!

I am trying to build a flow where everytime a calculated column changes status, will update another one in a text format. Sounds quite dumb, but it is the solution I have for a problem I got in PowerApps.

I built a flow in powerapps that updates the whole database (which takes at least 6 minutes with 680 records... and it is expected to have at least 1200 entries), so it isn't very smart.

I was trying to build a new one from "When Item is created or Modified" trigger, but I found myself with an infinite loop 🤣

Is there a way to "filter" the trigger so it would one really triggers when that column in specific is modified??

Hello @Fernanda

Have a look at - https://flow.microsoft.com/en-us/blog/run-a-flow-when-a-sharepoint-column-is-modified/

The infinite loop happens only if the source and destination are the same. There are multiple way to get around the problem I am including few articles below -
