I want to send an SMS alert to my cell phone. I don't understand why the need for Twilio or other products? Other types of products that provide text alerts don't require a 3rd party SMS relay to be provided.
Hi RMwadthree,
I assume that this blog could be a reference for you:
https://plumsail.com/docs/help-desk-o365/v1.x/How%20To/Send%20SMS%20notifications%20from%20help%20de...
When using the action “Twilio – Send Text Message(SMS)”, Twilio will send a message to an agent with some text.
Please try to create a flow using this action to see if it will meet your needs.
Best regards,
Mabel Mao
Mabel - appreciate the response, but I suspect you are missing my point. Twiliio is a 3rd party product that requires opening an account. I would have thought a basic function such as Send SMS would be a built in object within Flow. This external service requires fees but had thought SMS Send would be a feature
thanks
Hi RMwadthree,
Thanks for your clarification. But currently Flow doesn’t’ have a basic function “Send SMS”.
Please consider to submit a request at Flow Ideas Forum, PGs will check this forum and take your idea into consideration in the future release. I will help report it from my side.
