Will posting role assignments against SP list trigger mod flows?

I’m designing a flow for a list, leveraging item created/modified triggers. Occasionally I’ll be posting an http request at it to add or remove role assignments.

Does anyone know, with certainty, whether adding/removing permissions against the list in this manner will trigger item modified? Hoping not...

Initial tests indicate it won’t, but it wouldn’t be the first time I’ve come back to a flow the next day and seen it had run dozens of times when I was expecting it to only run once in testing.

Hi @bdc604 ,

How is your flow created? Please share a screen shot.

About “Occasionally I’ll be posting an http request at it to add or remove role assignments”, do you have another flow to be used to modify the role assignments?

I have made a simple flow with the trigger “When an item is created or modified”, however, when I try to change the role assignments on SharePoint, the flow won’t be triggered.

Do you have any other flows that will update/modify the list items?

Best regards,

Mabel
