create a link to a file in document library

I create a flow that if a list item is created, its attachment will be created in a document library with item's ID and attachment file name as the document name (eg. 12-invoice.jpg)

I want to create an approval flow "Start an approval" and add a link to the 12-invoice.jpg inside the details field, how can I do this?

Thanks,

Joe

Re: create a link to a file in document library

Hey,

Two options

1. Create a flow to listen on the library for item created and you can insert the link to an item as dynamic paramater

2. use your existing flow - you already know the details of the item, so can populate using your already constructed information.

Re: create a link to a file in document library

Thanks Gristy.

I use the second method as below

I receive the email as below

When I click the link, it shows 404 error

But, the file "18-tshirt-black.jpg" is in document library.

Do I make any mistake?

It looks like your document is inside a folder make sure to include that

Re: create a link to a file in document library

From your screenshot, @uogadmin, it looks like your file might actually be in a subfolder called "Vendor Bill", so that URL you're generating may not be right. Perhaps you can fix the URL to include the subfolder or follow Gristy's first option.
