I have a column in my sharepoint list with " append changes to existing text" on. In the sharepoint list it just shows "view entries".
I am working on a flow that sends an update request to the owner associated with that item and in the email I have included a number of fields but also want to show the various items in that specific column. However, when nothing comes up in the email for that field.
Is there a clever way of modifiying the flow to retrieve all the entries in that column and displaying them into the email? I am also looking for a way to show these into a powerapp which I am building in case there is also a solution for that.
Thank you in advance for any suggestions. I did look around for solutions but couldnt find anything that worked.
Solved! Go to Solution.
In your email all other field mapping are showing correctly? Only the 'Update' multi-line text values are not displaying.
Please follow the below steps. Here I am usin a selected list item from SharePoint which I am using as my trigger. Next step I have declared an array. This is used for storing all the comments later.
Next we need to use the API call for getting all the versions and use a parse JSON to extract the values. To get the schema of the JSON run the flow up to Send an HTTP request to SharePoint step. Copy the results into the Parse JSON to generate the schema.
Finally iterate the JSON results and append the comments in an array.
