extend flow past 30 days

im just trying to work out a better solution for a 6 step approval flow that we have in place at the moment , but im stuggling to understand the setup and looking to simplify it for myself and maybe some others if they are struggling , i have found the below which explains how to workround the 30day limit of flows...

but i just cant work out where i need to start with it

my flow starts when an item is created in sharepoint list, it then works through some criterai to selct who to notify depending on the chosen filed, where it updates the item and then kick off the approval workflow , and worsk through the system ...

i'm just lost with the http request and what it actually means

any help would be great

I know The Flow Team are working on Flows that go beyond 30 days but don't think it will be here this month or next even but I'm not aware of any timescales.

I would say that the best place to start would be these 2 videos from JL & sergeluca :

Part 1 -

Part 2 -
