format text when updating sharepoint list item of type Enhanced Rich Text

I have a sharepoint list that when a specific value is chosen in one field, a text field for the list item is updated.  The updated text field is of type Enhanced Rich Text.

I created a flow that would update this text field with a list of items such as:

Agenda
1. Item 1
2. Item 2
3. Item 3

When I go to sharepoint and view that list item, formatting was lost and the text is displayed as:

Agenda 1. Item 1 2. Item 2 3. Item 3

If the field type of the sharepoint list item is switched to Rich Text and I use the same flow, the formatting is retained and appears as expected:

Agenda
1. Item 1
2. Item 2
3. Item 3

Is anyone aware of what could be done to retain formatting when the sharepoint list field is using Enhanced Rich Text instead of Rich Text?

Thanks,

Gary

Have you tried applying the formatting in the Flow using HTML encoding?  I suspect that is why the linebreaks are bing ignored.

Hi Gary,

To get formatting to "stick" in an Enhanced Rich text field, use HTML tags in your Flow when formatting the data:

Here is what that looks like in the list:

Take care!

Thank you Pstork1 and Ashley.  I didn't realize HTML could be used there.

Adding the </br> worked.
